Selous Serena Camp
The Camp is in the Selous National Reserve, which is 45 minute’s flight from Dar es Salaam International Airport.
A meet and greet service is offered from Stiegler’s Airstrip, which is just a half-hour’s game drive away from the camp.
The camp comprises of 12 well appointed tents positioned under individually grass-thatched structures, luxuriously furnished with adjoining colonial bathrooms.
All the tents are well positioned to offer optimum game viewing as well as privacy and exclusivity. All the tents are set on a wooden deck under a thatch covering.
The Tents are widely spaced amongst the indigenous forest. To the rear of the tent is the ensuite bathroom, which features a Victorian claw-foot bath, shower and WC.
Each tent is tastefully furnished with luxury double or twin beds, polished rosewood furniture, opulent rugs and crystal chandeliers. Each tent also enjoys its own extensive private sun-deck, loungers and river views.
The camp has a separate dining area and guest lounge overlooking the natural watering hole which is also lit in the evenings for night viewings.
Breakfast and lunch are presented in buffet-style and feature a wide range of international choices.
Their table d’hôte dinner menus feature a salad buffet, soup, entrée, pudding, cheese and biscuits and tea or coffee. Vegetarian options are always available.
Wine list offers a broad selection of old- and new-world wines, and local and imported beers and spirits. They also offer a wide range of soft drinks including an array of freshly-made local fruit juices. They serve only the finest Tanzanian coffee and tea; and also offer a wide range of fruit and herbal infusions.
