Sable Mountain Lodge is perched across three peaks of the Beho Beho Hills in the distant wilderness of Selous Game Reserve.
The Lodge is set just a couple of kilometers outside the Matambwe Gate into the Northern part of the Selous, this camp serves primarily as a stop for safaris travelling overland to Morogoro and Mikumi.
It can also serve as a staging point into the reserve for visitors arriving by train from Dar es Salaam.
The Camp is small and intimate with emphasis placed on a true wilderness experience combined with warm hospitality.
Eight stone cottages are spaciously situated over the Beho Beho hillside.
Each cottage provides stylish accommodation, the design element of which is in keeping with the surrounding natural environment.
The lodge also offers three tented bandas raised up high on wooden platforms to afford the best possible views.
For something extra special, there are two luxury honeymoon suites thoughtfully designed to guarantee an unforgettable romantic bush experience.
The open air restaurant serves international cuisine, and has a well stocked 'Cup and Bucket’ bar, the perfect setting to unwind before dinner. A solar fridge ensures that drinks are long and cool.
